Woman left fighting for her life after being doused in petrol and set alight

A woman has been left battling for her life after being allegedly doused in petrol and set alight.

Nicole Evans suffered severe burns to more than half of her body after the horrific attack.

The 20-year-old’s fiancĂ©, Matthew John Davey, is accused of throwing the petrol over the young woman.

The incident took place in a garden shed in Melbourne Australia on Monday.
The 34-year-old allegedly set the young woman on fire after having an argument.
 Nicole was rushed to Royal Hobart Hospital before being flown to Melbourne for specialist care at The Alfred Hospital’s burns unit in a critical condition.
There are reports Davey was also treated for minor burns.
The suspect is also charged with hitting the 20-year-old and throwing a can at her.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges including causing grievous bodily harm.

A Go Fund Me Page has been set up to help Nicole’s family cover her medical bills.
Friend Leslie Chambers said: ‘She is a joker, a natural beauty and had her head screwed on in life and knew what she wanted to do and where she wanted to go.

‘She took that ride in life because she had that fire, that fight in her too do well in life.

‘Heart breakingly Nicole was flown to Melbourne, and is currently in the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a critical condition – with burns to more than 50 per cent of her body.

‘Not only will she need endless surgery, treatments, physical and mental help if she pulls through this horrible and heartbreaking tragedy, but it will be ongoing for the rest of her life and also for her family.’-Evoke.ie.
